Hi, been a while

Well, since our last talk i made some improvements to the game.

First, after multiple tries i successfully imported the model from blender to unity, which was sooooo much of a hassle, but we did it! One problem tho, I never used textures to make the little fella in blender, so when i imported, he had nothing, and the boolean i had setup for the eyes were just solid, rip me.

After that i went after some sweet sweet toon shaders for that fine look i got in blender, little did i know i could not transfer any of my work in blender to unity, so i had to start over, this had multiple different tutorials, some pretty much the same, some better, but still much to improve, and some basic movement was implemented. Btw, cause of that texture thing, he had no eyes, which was kinda creepy, maybe halloween DLC Soon(tm)?

Next, we got some of that sweet animations that i made in an earlier devlog in the movement script which was very exciting to put together and see that little man running around.

Now for the presentation needed at college i decided to tackle some puzzle mechanics, with the help of some more tutorials i got some key/door logic working, which was fun seeing it work.

OOOH boy here we got, whole new shaders, made from scratch(very long tutorials), we got outlines, we got some shine, we got everything a toon shader needs. And i made some more room in the playground for a puzzle room to place the new keys on.

Neeeext, kinda chill but heres some more animations i made in blender to smooth our movement.

Andddd finally, with the help of our Unity Starter set Third Person controller and much much sweat and tears to make it work with a generic rig, our little guy now has almost full animation cycles (gotta work on those landing animations tho). Managed to make some smoke particles to give our jump a bit of HUMPF, and added double jump, which was also hard since i didnt write any of the Starter set code, but we managed!

Thanks for being here, i hope you all are safe and have a good one, till next week, babye.
